Gentry Links ... to the Modern Game: the Bigger Picture

This is the third book of the Gentry Links trilogy of books published in 2023 : referred to as 'GL3'.

Limited Edition, case bound books have mock leather engraved covers with full colour jackets. Each book is designed to be a true work of art with a fold out full colour, high resolution copy of the painting that is the subject of the book. We use only the finest materials to make sure that our Limited Edition books are not only beautiful to look at, but also durable and long-lasting.

Each book is priced at £300 plus packing and postage costs.

The number of Limited Edition books for GL3 has been restricted to 28 selected from a list of the 191 characters in the painting, Medal Day, 1894. These are the characters listed in the book as being the 'Principal Protagonists'. These are the characters prominently positioned by the artist in the foreground of the painting, principally comprising the gentlemen who would have been regarded as 'Famous Golfers' - the elite amateur golfers of the era.

There are, however, also interesting links between some of these selected characters and characters who feature in the Limited Editions of GL1 and/or GL2.

Again, the number of Limited Edition books available for GL3 is restricted so as not to dilute the exclusivity of the original sales of Limited Editions for GL1.

Each book has an inscription page commemorating one of these characters and a front page naming the purchaser of the book or the person to whom it is dedicated by the purchaser.
